I just love the convenience of Picnic Basket Coolbags – like this one, the Covvy Collapsible Cooler. Apart from the wide range of designs and styles on the market, they’re super easy to clean, and you can collapse them for easy storage.
I was impressed with this model, largely because of the great value price (See current price on Amazon) and the fact that at over 20 litres it has a great capacity. For short journeys it’s perfectly capable of keeping fresh food cool, and for longer ones just pop a few ice packs in the bottom and you’re good to go!
It’s available in some really funky designs too. My pick was this bright and cheerful orange/pink stripe pattern – you can choose a similar pattern in greens and yellows also! There’s also a pretty hot-pink floral design on offer.
The Covvy Collapsible Picnic Cooler is build around a sturdy but lightweight aluminium frame, and has an easy-clean polyester outer as well as a wipeable interior. There’s a secure double-zip fastening, and sponge insulation.
It’s also capable of keeping food warm, for around 3 hours! And at this price you could easily have one for hot food and one for cold.
Because it’s so portable you could also have one to store in the car boot, to keep your frozen goods chilled during the journey home from the supermarket etc.
It’s such good value for the money. I’ve seen other, similar baskets for sale both online and in discount supermarkets, but this one has become my ‘go-to’ cooler when we’re popping out for an impromptu picnic or outdoor playdate!
